Leviathan, Inc.

I have an english student here in Tokyo who works for a trading firm that assists "buyout" companies - companies that, like Carlyle, are economic vultures that swoop in to rip all the meat from dying companies.

Carlyle, he informed me, has become by far the largest buyout company in the world. The Bush family, that brought us such delightful acts of treason as arming Saddam Hussein and then attacking him for having the arms they supplied him with, now own substantial swaths of the global economic infrastructure, and are quietly buying up media interests as well.

Bush's attempts to wrest banking information and private data on Americans take on a whole new dimension when the interests of Carlyle are brought into the equation. (Note the video's first 30 seconds are in dutch.)

The imperial era of Bush must be brought to an end soon, or a far, far bleaker future awaits us all.

Quote of the Day:

Welcome my son, welcome to the machine.
Where have you been?
It's alright we know where you've been.
You've been in the pipeline, filling in time,
provided with toys and "Scouting for Boys".
You bought a guitar to punish your ma,
You didn't like school, and you know you're nobody's fool,
So welcome to the machine.

Welcome my son, welcome to the machine.
What did you dream?
It's alright we told you what to dream.
You dreamed of a big star, he played a mean guitar,
He always ate in the steak bar.
Loved to drive in his jaguar.
So welcome to the machine.
